Commercial Analyst

Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong numerical ability – Comfortable tracking, analysing, and interpreting financial or statistical data using Excel or similar tools.
- Tech-savvy – Able to work with technology, including basic scripting or coding (e.g. Python, JavaScript, macros) when needed.
- Clear written communication – Capable of synthesising complex ideas into well-structured documentation, with or without AI assistance.
- Strong verbal communication & listening skills – Able to articulate insights effectively and engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Interpersonal skills – A team player who can build strong working relationships across different levels of the organisation.
- Analytical mindset – Able to interpret complex data and present actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Preferred: Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field.
Preferred Experience
- Background in financial services or a commercial function in another business.
- Customer service experience, particularly in a B2B context.
- Exposure to pricing or quantitative analysis in sales and marketing.
- Awareness of regulatory and risk considerations related to deposit products.
- Strong interest or knowledge of the fintech and payments industry.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting client-facing teams with pricing and structuring commercial deals.
- Analysing and managing the commercial pipeline.
- Overseeing ongoing commercial relationships with key industry partners.
- Gaining hands-on experience in Fintech, payments, and banking.
- Delivering reports and dashboards on portfolio performance, competitor activity, and pricing trends.
